With over 25 years in the Spa industry, Bonnie is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Satteva Spa and Wellness Concepts, a leading wellness consulting and management company based in Mexico. Bonnie has a lifelong passion for Well-Being and has worked with award winning Spa companies around the world such as the Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

Her background in Anthropology and commitment to sustainable wellness is reflected in cultural programming and organic approach she promotes in each project and as a Board Member of the Green Spa Network and Founding member of the Green Spa Network Mexico chapter, as well as Co-chairwoman of the Sustainability initiative for the Global Wellness Institute.

Suzanne Mathis McQueen

Author, Speaker, Private Coach, and Business Consultant

Suzanne Mathis McQueen is an author, speaker, private coach, and business consultant. The former hair stylist and owner of an award-winning, 30-employee day spa and retreat center, McQueen specializes in the client experience, customer service, honing the vision, staff harmony, and for female clients: following one’s hormonal rhythm for power, beauty, and wisdom.

Jessica Vineyard

Jessica was in the beauty and wellness business for 35 years. As a hairstylist, she owned a successful salon in Southern California for many years before relocating to Southern Oregon. Her interest in formulating hair colors led her to earn her bachelor’s degree in chemistry, after which she worked as a chemist in the wellness field.

She eventually returned to her love of beauty and health when she purchased an eco-luxury day spa, which she owned and managed for seven years. Her spa/salon and its 25 employees were renowned throughout Oregon and California for their unwavering attention to providing quality treatments, customer service, and products, and for maintaining strong relationships through community involvement. Jessica was also a frequent educator at a local massage school.

When she retired from the beauty industry, Jessica turned her talents to content and book editing. She has edited dozens of books, including Ms. Lotz’s Green Spas & Salons: How to Make Your Business Truly Sustainable. Jessica brings her skills of creative wordsmithing and crafting outstanding content to the Vios Spa Group team. She loves ensuring that website, marketing, and brochure content convey the true nature of a business. By creating content consistency across various marketing platforms, Jessica helps to develop a strong, consistent brand unique to each business.

Philippe Therene


Philippe Therene founded SpaEquip in 1987. He holds a Master’s Degree from Cornell-Essec in Paris, France. SpaEquip is a full service Spa Equipment procurement company with US offices in Calistoga, California, and satellites offices across the United Sates. International growth over the years led the company to expand globally and today SpaEquip also has offices in London as well as full subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Shanghai, China, to better serve the growing Chinese and Asian markets. SpaEquip employs 35 people worldwide and recently added a new division, SpaCare, to its portfolio. SpaCare specializes in representing exclusive skin care brands to the Spa Industry.

Lisa Sykes

Universal Companies

Lisa Sykes is a regulatory affairs and sustainability manager for Universal Companies, where she leads a variety of regulatory and sustainability activities related to proprietary brand raw materials, finished products, labeling, marketing claims, and packaging to ensure compliance with cosmetic laws and regulations. She also develops and implements company sustainability measures and serves as a liaison to counsel, third party certifiers and formulators, professional affiliations, and the local community. Lisa is co-chair of the Green Spa Network personal care product committee and serves on its advisory council.
